Why bother converting AAC to MP3

What to expect from the finished file

Both AAC and MP3 are lossy, so re-encoding adds a small generational loss on top of whatever the AAC already discarded. At 320 kbps that's hard to notice, and at 192 it's fine for everyday listening; just avoid repeatedly converting the same clip back and forth. You get the complete track, start to finish, at its original volume, this tool doesn't trim, fade, normalize, or merge anything. Expect the MP3 to land at roughly the same size as the AAC when the bitrates match, since you're changing the container and codec, not compressing further.
