Private, nothing is uploaded
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Turn WebP images into lossless PNG files that open everywhere and keep their transparency. It all runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded, there's no account, no watermark, and you can batch as many images as you like.
Why PNG instead of JPG
Choose PNG when the WebP has transparency or sharp edges, logos, icons, screenshots, diagrams, or anything with text, because PNG is lossless and keeps those crisp with no compression fuzz, and it preserves the alpha channel so transparent areas stay transparent. JPG would flatten transparency to white and soften fine edges. The trade-off is size: PNG files are larger than JPG, so for ordinary photographs with no transparency, JPG is usually the better choice.
Where WebP trips people up
WebP is everywhere on the modern web, so saving an image from a page often gives you a .webp you then can't open in a desktop viewer, drop into an older editor, or upload to a form that only takes PNG or JPG. Converting to PNG produces a universally supported file while keeping the image pixel-for-pixel identical, since PNG is lossless. That makes it the safe choice when fidelity matters and you don't know what will accept the file downstream.
Lossless means no settings
Because PNG stores the image without throwing anything away, there's no quality slider to balance, every conversion is an exact copy of the decoded WebP. Dimensions, colors, and transparency are preserved as-is. If the resulting PNG is larger than you'd like, that's expected for lossless; reach for JPG (for photos) or resize the image when size matters more than keeping every pixel.
Tips
- Pick PNG when the image has transparency, text, or sharp edges, it stays crisp and lossless.
- For ordinary photos, WebP to JPG makes a much smaller file, use that instead.
- PNG keeps the alpha channel, so logos and stickers stay transparent.
- Batch convert the whole set, nothing uploads, so it's private even for large sets.
