Private, nothing is uploaded

Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Turn almost any image, JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and more, into a lossless PNG that opens everywhere and keeps transparency. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded, there's no account, no watermark, and you can batch as many images as you like.

Why PNG is the safe target

PNG is the format most tools, editors, and forms accept without complaint, and because it's lossless it never adds compression artifacts. That makes it the right choice when you have an image in an awkward format, a WebP a program won't open, a BMP that's needlessly huge, a GIF frame you want as a still, and need something universally usable. Converting to PNG gives you a clean, editable, widely-supported copy in one step.

Transparency and sharp edges

PNG preserves an alpha channel, so if the source image has transparency, it survives the conversion, logos, icons, and cut-outs stay transparent rather than getting a solid background. PNG also keeps hard edges and text perfectly crisp, which is why it's preferred for screenshots, diagrams, and graphics. If a source has no transparency (like a JPG), the PNG is simply fully opaque.

What to expect from the file

Because PNG is lossless, each converted file is an exact copy of the decoded source, dimensions and colors unchanged. The trade-off is size: PNG is larger than lossy formats, so a converted photo can be several times bigger than the JPG or WebP it came from. That's normal and expected. When size matters more than being lossless, convert to JPG (for photos) or WebP (for the web) instead.

Tips

  • PNG is the most widely accepted lossless format, a safe target when a file won't open elsewhere.
  • Transparency and sharp edges are preserved, ideal for logos, icons, and screenshots.
  • Expect PNGs to be larger than the source for photos, that's the cost of lossless.
  • Need the whole batch? Add them all and convert in one go, nothing uploads.

How it works

  1. 01

    Add your images

Drop in JPG, WebP, GIF, BMP, or other images, one or many. They stay on your device.

  2. 02

    PNG is lossless

No quality settings, PNG stores each image without further compression.

  3. 03

    Convert & download

Convert in your browser and download each PNG, or grab them all at once.

Questions

Which formats can I convert to PNG?
Any image your browser can open, including JPG/JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and more. Drop them in and download PNGs.
Does converting to PNG lose quality?
No. PNG is lossless, so each PNG is an exact copy of the decoded source image, with transparency preserved where present.
Why is the PNG larger than my original?
PNG is lossless and doesn't compress like JPG or WebP, so converted photos are usually larger. That's expected; use JPG or WebP when you need a smaller file.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion happens entirely on your device, your images never leave the browser, and nothing is stored.
