Private, nothing is uploaded
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Take a PDF apart: keep just the pages you need as a new document, or break it into one file per page. It's the quick way to pull a single form out of a big scan or hand someone only the relevant pages, and it runs entirely in your browser.
Picking pages and ranges
Type the pages you want using commas for individual pages and dashes for ranges, so 1-3, 5, 8-10 keeps pages one through three, five, and eight through ten. The order you type doesn't matter; pages come out in document order, and duplicates are ignored. The tool shows the PDF's total page count so you know the valid range, and it'll flag anything out of bounds before splitting.
One PDF or a file per page
Two outputs cover most needs. "One PDF with those pages" gives you a single new document containing just your selection, ideal for sending someone pages 4-6 of a report. "A separate file per page" saves each selected page as its own PDF, handy when every page is a distinct document, like a batch of scanned receipts or certificates that need to be filed individually.
Quality and privacy
Splitting copies the chosen pages exactly, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution, with no re-compression. Everything runs on your device, so a confidential contract or statement is never uploaded. Password-protected PDFs need their protection removed first; the tool reads the page count once the file opens and won't send anything anywhere.
Tips
- Use commas and dashes together: 1-3, 5, 8-10.
- Sending someone a few pages? Use "one PDF" so they get a single tidy file.
- Splitting a batch of scans where each page is its own document? Use "a file per page".
- It all runs locally, so sensitive PDFs never leave your device.

Questions
- How do I split a PDF for free?
- Add your PDF, type the pages to keep (e.g. 1-3, 5), choose one PDF or a file per page, and download. It runs in your browser with no upload or watermark.
- Can I extract a specific range of pages?
- Yes. Enter ranges with dashes and single pages with commas, like 2-4, 7. The tool validates them against the document's page count.
- Can I save every page as its own file?
- Yes. Choose "a separate file per page" and each selected page downloads as its own single-page PDF.
- Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
- No. Splitting happens entirely on your device, your file never leaves the browser, and nothing is stored.
